Tarzi® Story
- Tarzi® is a medium – large sized natural sport of Galaxy Royal Gala. It was discovered by orchardist Tony Gilbertson in Hawkes Bay, NZ.
- Tarzi® is a managed variety jointly owned by Global Plant Variety Administration Ltd and the Gilbertson’s. RD8 Fresh Produce is currently the sole licensed distributor.
Tarzi® Experience
- Tarzi® has a bright solid ‘venous blood’ red to ‘arterial blood’ red colouration present over the entire surface area of the fruit – including stem and bowl cavity. A green-white bright, fine textured flesh provides a sweet and juicy eating experience, with a taste unique to the variety.
- Tarzi® is harvested approximately 7 – 10 days ahead of standard Hi Coloured Royal Gala. Early to mid-February onward.
